NeuMat may provide sponsorship for external events that align with the Network’s mission to advance neuromorphic materials, devices, circuits, systems and algorithms across the UK community.
Our sponsorship supports activities that strengthen collaboration, build research capacity and deliver clear benefit to the UK neuromorphic ecosystem.
What we support
NeuMat may sponsor or co-sponsor specific elements of eligible events, including:
- Scientific workshops, discussion meetings and symposia
- Poster prizes, travel bursaries and Early Career Researcher (ECR)-focused activities
- Defined event components, such as receptions, dinners or student support
Sponsorship is provided for clearly defined purposes rather than unrestricted event funding.
Eligibility and assessment criteria
Events must demonstrate a clear benefit to the NeuMat network and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Support and grow the UK neuromorphic research community.
- Advance cross-institution collaboration in NeuMat focus areas: algorithms, circuits and systems; devices; materials.
- Provide a platform for NeuMat talks, engagement or outreach.
- Deliver tangible benefits for ECRs or help build long-term research capacity.
Sponsorship levels
As a guideline, NeuMat supports:
- Up to £1,000: small contributions such as poster prizes or travel bursaries.
- £1,000-£3,000: partial sponsorship of defined event components.
- Above £3,000: exceptional cases only.
All requests are considered competitively and subject to available budget.
Conditions of support
Sponsored events are expected to:
- Acknowledge NeuMat in relevant promotional materials and during the event.
- Provide opportunities for NeuMat engagement, where appropriate.
- Submit a short post-event summary (attendance, outcomes and photographs where possible) for inclusion on the NeuMat website and social media channels.

- Alignment with NeuMat’s mission.
- The specific item(s) requested for support.
- The anticipated community benefit.
