Organised by Prof. Judith Driscoll, Prof. Stuart Parkin, Dr Seb Dixon, Prof. Steve Furber and Prof. Tony Kenyon, this three-day programme aims to convene a global community to address one of the most pressing technological challenges of our time.
The current trajectory of AI, where computational demand is doubling approximately every 2-3 months, is widely recognised as unsustainable. Neuromorphic, brain-inspired technologies offer a compelling alternative: delivering transformative gains in energy efficiency without compromising performance.
Realising this opportunity requires deep collaboration across materials, devices, systems and applications - a central theme underpinning both the Discussion Meeting and the associated industry-facing event.
The programme comprises two complementary elements:
Together, these events offer a unique opportunity to connect foundational research with the pathways needed to deliver next-generation computing technologies.
