The latest round of the Funded Digital Innovation Projects for SMEs programme is now open, offering collaborative projects with STFC Hartree Centre experts to support the adoption of high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. The initiative is funded by Innovate UK and is designed to help ambitious SMEs translate technical innovation into business growth.

The APRIL AI Hub, the EPSRC-funded AI Hub for Productive Research & Innovation in Electronics, has opened a new sandpit competition offering awards of up to £100,000 to researchers who can demonstrate the greatest impact from its four core AI tools for electronics and semiconductor research. NeuMat members working across materials, devices, circuits and systems are warmly encouraged to consider applying, particularly where a proposal could extend these tools into neuromorphic materials and device design.
